Getting the fit right on pants and shorts

Waist sizes on Chinese listings are usually given in centimetres, measured flat across the waistband. Double the number and compare with your own waist, then check the inseam and leg opening, which decide how a pair stacks or sits over shoes.

In the QC photos, check that the pockets are symmetrical, the drawcords and toggles are complete, and any prints or patches line up on both legs. For denim, look at the wash in daylight photos rather than studio shots.

Shorts weigh roughly 0.3 kg and pants 0.5 to 0.9 kg depending on the fabric. Heavy denim and cargo pants add up quickly, so mix them with lighter items to stay in a cheaper weight band. Sweatpants and nylon shorts compress well, which helps if you ship with vacuum packing.
