Ordering jackets and vests

Jackets are where measurements matter most. Check chest width, sleeve length from the shoulder seam and back length against a jacket you already wear, and leave room for a hoodie underneath if you plan to layer.

In the QC photos, look at the zips (they should run smoothly and sit straight), the stitching on the baffles of a puffer, and any patches or logos on the chest and sleeve. Ask the warehouse for extra photos of the filling label and the inside lining if the listing makes claims about down content.

Down jackets are light but bulky: 1 to 1.6 kg per piece and a lot of volume. Vacuum packing reduces the volumetric weight; the jacket regains its loft a day or two after unpacking. Vests ship at roughly half the weight of a full jacket.
